Frequently Asked Questions
If you’ve a question not answered below, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
What tours do you offer?
We mainly offer walking or coach tours of Bath and Bristol, but we can also provide tours to all other parts of the South West of England.
Do you offer a programme of coach tours that I can join?
I’m afraid we do not have our own fleet of coaches. All our tours use the client’s own transport.
How long do tours last?
We normally allow two hours for a walking tour and one to two hours for a coach tour. However, the length of the tour can be adjusted to suit the client’s requirements.
What can I expect to see on a two-hour walking tour of Bath?
Our walks visit all the main places of interest including the Royal Crescent, The Circus, Assembly Rooms, Pulteney Bridge.
Can I see the same on a coach tour?
Because of traffic restrictions it’s not possible to visit all the same places, but the route covers more of the city and takes in places not normally included on a walking tour. The coach tour includes stopping time for photos at the Royal Crescent. The tour can also be extended to include panoramic views of the city.
What can I expect to see on a walking tour of Bristol?
We offer a number of different walks for Bristol including a city centre tour, a harbourside tour, street art tour, and a tour of Clifton Village with the opportunity to view the Clifton Suspension Bridge.
What other tours do you offer?
Our guides are able to offer tours to other places of interest across the South West of England – for example Salisbury, Stonehenge, Avebury, the Cotswolds, Wells and Glastonbury.
Can you assist with the planning of itineraries?
Yes, we can offer suggestions and advise on the best places to visit within the time available. We can help arrange half- or full-day tours to meet the client’s requirements.
Do you include visits to museums/attractions in your tours?
We certainly can do. Sometimes our tour guides can guide at the attraction/museum, but sometimes they are not allowed to and the attraction/museum will provide audio guides or will have their own guides.
Can you arrange entry to museums/attractions?
All group visits have to be arranged in advance by the client, and direct with the museums/attractions.
What is the maximum number permissible per group?
The maximum group size for a walking tour is 25 persons per guide. There is no maximum number for a coach tour.
Do you provide tours in a foreign language?
We are able to offer tours in French. Other languages may be available depending on the availability of guides.
What are your tour rates?
Our rates are based on tours lasting up to two, four and eight hours. Supplements apply for Bank Holiday tours. Prices are available on application.
Do you require payment in advance of the tour?
Yes, we require payment 14 days prior to the tour date. We ask for payment to be made by bank transfer wherever possible. Payment in cash is by prior agreement. Unfortunately we are unable to accept payment by debit or credit card.
Can I get a refund if I have to cancel the tour?
Cancellation terms are set out in our Booking Conditions.
